In January, GPB’s SONaccess IP mobility solution was deployed at Taiwan’s SeaWorld by the National Marine Museum and Biological Aquarium (NMMBA) as the first step in Taiwan’s ambitious “eTaiwan” Project under its 6-year National Development Plan.
On May 28th, GPB announced that Legend, the leading IT enterprise in China, will bundle GPB’s SONbuddyTM in all its Wi-Fi notebook computers – Lenovo A820 and Lenovo E360.
On September 18th, GPB announced the beta availability of SONbuddy, its intelligent software platform, enabling WLAN-equipped handheld and personal devices to form spontaneous, self-organizing networks (SON).
On September 20th, GPB secured a contract with China Speednet Co. Ltd, which gives China Speednet Co. Ltd the right to act as an authorised distributor of the SONaccess products for China Telecom Group in the PRC.
GP Malaysia signed a commercial license agreement with Nation-Tech Sdn Bhd, the OEM system builder for Notebooks and PCs; also the appointed Sole Malaysian Distributor of the M-Life series of Notebooks / PCs, to bundle GP's SONbuddy into their Intel Centrino laptops for nationwide sales and distribution in selected countries.
GPB was voted "10 Mobile Technology Companies to Watch" by San Jose Mercury News in 2003.
