On March 2nd,
Green Packet received approval from the Securities Commission for its Main Board Transfer Scheme. The Main Board Transfer Scheme entails issuance of bonus issue of 222,186,250 new Green Packet shares on the basis of one new share for every two shares held. The resultant
enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of 666,558,750 shares of 10 sen each after the bonus issue will be consolidated into 333,279,375 shares of 20 sen each.
On March 16th, Packet One Networks Sdn Bhd (formerly known as MIB Comm Sdn Bhd) has emerged as one of the four successful bidders for WiMAX spectrum licence as announced by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.
On July 5th, Green Packet announced that it has via its wholly-owned subsidiary Green Packet (SHanghai) Ltd, entered into a two-year agreement with Shanghai Telecom Co. Ltd to supply, install and commission the SONaccess platform and PErsonal Handyphone System (PHS) data cards and software on a synergistic collaboration to promote the total solution of Wireless E-communication to Shanghai Telecom's subscribers.
On July 18th, Green Packet Berhad is transfered to Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
